We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school’s Blended Learning Team. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work as a mobile TA, providing 1:1 support to pupils in their homes to help them access and engage with their education.
There is no lesson planning involved — your role will focus on supporting learning, building confidence and promoting emotional regulation. All pupils have anxiety and SEMH needs, with many diagnosed as autistic. You will be supporting approximately 7 pupils in Years 9–11 across the week.
This is a travelling role — candidates must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. You will be travelling between:
- Crawley
- Crawley Down
- Cuckfield
- Haywards Heath
Responsibilities:
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH, anxiety, or autism
- Confidence working independently in a 1:1 setting
- Calm, patient and empathetic approach
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
