A specialist school in Waterlooville is seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. The school caters for children and young people with Autism, severe learning difficulties, communication needs and physical disabilities. This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists and experienced support staff to help students access learning, develop independence and build confidence.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting students with communication and interaction
- Working within sensory and therapeutic learning environments

- Personal care where required
- Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists and specialist teaching staff
