We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Inclusion Advisor to join an Alternative Provision setting across West Sussex. This is a key pastoral and inclusion-focused role, supporting students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, within nurturing, structured, and inclusive environments across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the inclusion, engagement, and wellbeing of students across multiple provisions
- Travel between sites to provide consistent pastoral and inclusion support
- Work closely with teaching staff to reduce barriers to learning
- Develop and implement individual support and behaviour plans
- Monitor attendance, engagement, and pastoral needs of students
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support student outcomes
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and restorative approaches
- Contribute to safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with young people with additional needs, ideally in SEMH or alternative provision settings
- Strong understanding of inclusion, safeguarding, and pastoral support
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential due to travel requirements)
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A calm, resilient, and solution-focused approach
- A genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
