We are seeking a dedicated and resilient English Teacher to join a specialist SEMH Alternative Provision in Maidenbower. This role involves delivering engaging English lessons to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, within a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support students with SEMH and additional learning needs
- Differentiate learning to ensure accessibility and progress for all learners
- Manage behaviour using calm, consistent and positive approaches
- Track and monitor student progress and attainment
- Work closely with support staff, leadership, and external agencies
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Ideal Candidate
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working within SEMH or alternative provision settings (desirable)
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
- Ability to engage and motivate disengaged learners
