Location: SEND School (ages 2-19)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent, 12 working weeks

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and nurturing team, working with students aged 5 to 18 years who have Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Students in Class: Assist teachers in delivering engaging, structured lessons and activities that cater to the unique needs of each student, helping them access the curriculum.
- One-to-One Support: Provide individualised support to students, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs to help them thrive in the classroom environment.
- Behaviour Management: Implement positive behaviour management strategies, providing a calm and consistent approach to help students develop their emotional regulation and social skills.
- Collaborative Working: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop tailored support plans that align with each student's needs.
- Encouraging Active Participation: Foster an inclusive and positive atmosphere, encouraging students to participate in lessons and activities while promoting confidence and independence.
- Adaptability: Be prepared to support students across various age groups (5-18), adapting approaches as necessary to meet their developmental stage and needs.
