We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within schools across Chichester. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils within the classroom.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote student engagement.
- Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support pupils with personal, social, and emotional development.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- A patient, caring, and positive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or support work are advantageous.
