Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Chichester in their search for a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join their team in September. This is a full-time permanent position teaching History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
- Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Encourage students to develop an understanding of historical events, interpretations, and sources through engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and behaviour for learning.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and essay‑writing skills.
- Work collaboratively with the Humanities department to plan schemes of work and share best practice.

Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge across the History curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
