Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in Chichester in their search for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team in September. This is a full-time permanent position teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

Role Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations through structured teaching and revision strategies.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and behaviour for learning.
  • Work collaboratively with the English department to plan schemes of work and share best practice.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge across the English curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
