We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary SEND school located in the Burgess Hill area. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support students with autism, helping them engage in learning, grow in confidence, and develop essential life skills within a supportive and structured setting. This role would suit someone with prior experience in SEND who is eager to make a meaningful impact on young people’s lives. About the Role
- Provide support to secondary‑aged students with autism, both one‑to‑one and in small group settings
- Assist in delivering personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive social interaction
- Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain a calm, inclusive classroom environment
- Encourage the development of communication and everyday life skills
