Special Needs Class Teacher – September Start (Permanent, Pay to Scale) Fulltime

The Role

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to small groups of children (typically 3–7 pupils)
  • Plan and adapt learning to meet a wide range of special educational needs, including SEMH and ASC
  • Create a safe, structured, and therapeutic classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic progress
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants and wider professionals
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with statutory requirements
  • Contribute to a creative, child-centred curriculum that supports curiosity and development

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching children with additional needs, particularly SEMH and/or autism
