Overview
Role: Primary Individual Needs Assistant
Location: Brighton
Pay: £14.25 to £16.40 per hour
Hours: Full-time and part-time options may be available
Start: As soon as possible or September
Responsibilities
- Help a pupil access learning and participate in school life on a 1:1 basis
- Follow routines and manage emotions to support the pupil's wellbeing
- Support communication, focus, sensory needs, social interaction or behaviour as required
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent, caring support
Requirements / Qualifications
- Calm, resilient, patient and nurturing approach
- Experience with SEND, autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, behaviour support, childcare or care work is valuable
- The right attitude is just as important as experience
