A popular and well-established two-form entry primary school in Brighton is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their friendly and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach a motivated Key Stage 2 class whilst making a real difference to the lives of pupils with a range of SEND needs. About the Role

You will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class containing pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs. The successful candidate will be confident in adapting lessons, building positive relationships, and maintaining high expectations for both learning and behaviour. This role would suit a teacher who thrives in a busy mainstream environment and is committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire a love of learning
  • Creating a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties
  • Implementing behaviour strategies consistently and effectively
  • Differentiating learning to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum
  • Monitoring progress and identifying areas for additional support
  • Working closely with the SENDCo, teaching assistants, and parents
  • Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil achievement
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has strong behaviour management skills
  • Is experienced in supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream setting
  • Has high expectations for achievement and conduct
  • Can build positive and productive relationships with pupils
  • Is adaptable, patient, and solution-focused
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and families
  • Is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child can thrive
