We are working with a truly exceptional all-boys SEMH school near Billingshurst, offering extensive outdoor space, fantastic facilities and a highly supportive environment for both pupils and staff. The school supports boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across both primary and secondary age groups and are looking for passionate Learning Support Assistants to join their team from September.

This is a rewarding role where you will support young people both inside and outside of the classroom, helping them regulate emotions, engage in learning and build confidence in themselves and their futures.

The Role
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs across primary or secondary classes
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour management
  • Supporting engagement in lessons and daily activities
  • Building positive, consistent relationships with pupils
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting children or adults with SEND/SEMH
  • Understanding of mental health and challenging behaviour
  • Patient, resilient and proactive attitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Driver essential due to school location
