We are recruiting for a fantastic all-boys SEMH school near Billingshurst, set within beautiful grounds and offering exceptional facilities for young people. The school supports boys with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and is looking for a dedicated English Learning Support Assistant to join their team in September.

The successful candidate will support pupils within English lessons, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop positive relationships with education. The school are looking for someone who is strong in English, patient, resilient and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs. The Role

  • Supporting boys with SEMH needs during English lessons
  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Encouraging engagement and participation in learning
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and behaviour regulation
  • Working alongside teachers and wider support staff
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with students

Requirements

  • Strong English knowledge and communication skills
  • Experience supporting young people with SEND and/or SEMH
  • Good understanding of mental health and challenging behaviour
  • Calm, positive and resilient approach
  • Driver essential due to school location

Key Information

  • £127 per day
  • Temp to perm after 12 working weeks
