We are seeking dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Support Mentors to work within an Alternative Provision setting supporting secondary-aged students. This rewarding role involves working with young people who may face barriers to education, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and positive behaviours that enable them to succeed both academically and personally. Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring to secondary-aged students.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Encourage engagement in learning and educational activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help students develop coping strategies.
  • Support students in achieving personal and educational goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and emotional support throughout the school day.
  • Act as a positive role model and advocate for students.
