SEMH Support Teaching Assistant – Bexhill
Overview
Pink Tile Education are recruiting a SEMH Support Teaching Assistant for a school in Bexhill. The role is suited for someone calm, patient and resilient who wants to support pupils with emotional wellbeing, behaviour and access to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with pupils who experience anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, autism, trauma‑related barriers or challenging behaviour.
- Help pupils follow routines, regulate emotions, rebuild confidence and engage positively with school.
Qualifications and Experience
- Background in mental health support, youth work, mentoring, care, SEND, pastoral support, behaviour support, sports coaching or residential support.
- Ability to understand that progress can be slow but consistency can change outcomes.
Location & Contract
- Location: Bexhill
- Pay: £14.25 to £16.40 per hour
- Contract options: Temporary, permanent and temp‑to‑perm opportunities available
- Start: As soon as possible or September
