This is a flexible supply teaching position, offering a mix of day-to-day cover and longer-term placements within Key Stage 2. For daily supply, you will deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain continuity of learning. For longer-term roles, you may take on full classroom responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
- Follow lesson plans for daily cover or plan and assess learning for long-term roles
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Support pupils’ academic progress and overall wellbeing
- Differentiate teaching to meet a range of abilities, including SEND
- Support pupils in preparing for end-of-key-stage expectations, including SATs
- Work closely with teaching assistants and wider staff
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
- Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
- Confident delivering core subjects, particularly English and Maths
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Experience preparing pupils for SATs
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- A track record of raising attainment and supporting pupil progress
