We’re looking for

Behaviour Support Assistants to join a brand-new specialist school opening in Esher this September. The school will support pupils aged

Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and

Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) , helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in creating a calm, consistent and supportive environment where pupils can feel safe, regulated and ready to learn.

Your Role

  • Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and emotional regulation.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Work alongside teachers and the wider pastoral team to implement individual support plans.
  • Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.

About You

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH, SEND, education, care or youth work.
  • Confident supporting pupils with behaviours that may challenge.
  • Calm, patient and resilient under pressure.
  • Passionate about helping young people succeed, both academically and emotionally.

Pay includes 12.07% holiday pay.
