We are working with a school in Hastings seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team on a long-term, full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.
This role is ideal for someone confident in supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour and may have additional needs such as SEMH or ASD. You’ll play a key role in helping students regulate behaviour, re-engage with learning, and develop positive relationships in school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to manage behaviour and emotional needs
- De-escalating challenging situations and promoting positive behaviour
- Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils and staff
- Supporting reintegration into lessons and the wider school environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (school, SEN, care, youth work, or similar)
- Calm, resilient, and confident with strong behaviour management skills
- Committed, reliable, and able to work full-time on a long-term basis
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
