We are working with a specialist secondary provision in the Basingstoke area that is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, moderate learning difficulties and communication needs. The school offers a structured environment with clear routines and a strong focus on consistency.

You will play a key role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally, working closely with teaching staff to ensure each student can access the curriculum in a way that works for them.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting with differentiated learning activities
  • Supporting communication and engagement in lessons
  • Helping maintain a calm and structured classroom environment

Role details:

  • Full-time and part-time options available
  • Immediate start or from May half term
  • £93 per day
  • Long-term position

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEND desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training
