Pink Tile Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH provision seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join their team from September on a 4-day-per-week basis. This provision supports pupils aged 5–16 who have been excluded from mainstream education, are experiencing mental health challenges, or require a more specialist and nurturing educational environment. The setting has a particular focus on supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about using creativity and relationship-based teaching to re-engage young people in education. Many pupils have experienced challenges within mainstream settings, so the school are looking for someone patient, adaptable, and able to build positive, trusting relationships.
The successful candidate will be delivering engaging Art lessons tailored to meet a range of abilities and needs, helping students express themselves creatively while developing confidence and emotional regulation.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified teacher or experienced unqualified teacher with strong Art knowledge
- Have experience working with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour
- Be confident adapting lessons to support varying abilities and needs
- Build strong relationships with students through a calm, nurturing, and consistent approach
- Be creative, resilient, and passionate about supporting vulnerable young people
- Have excellent behaviour management and communication skills
The Role:
