About the Role
Pink Tile Education is supporting a secondary school in the Crawley area in their search for a Dance Teacher to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term contract, available immediately. This is a varied role with a timetable split between delivering Dance lessons across KS3–KS5 and providing general classroom cover across the school where needed. The school is looking for a confident and adaptable educator who can inspire students through dance while also supporting the wider curriculum through cover supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Dance lessons at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop their creativity, confidence and performance skills.
- Provide general classroom cover across a range of subjects when required.
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Performing Arts department and wider school staff.
Candidate Requirements
- QTS is preferred, but not essential for a Dance specialist with relevant experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in Dance and experience teaching or delivering dance sessions to young people.
- Confident managing classrooms and delivering pre-set work during general cover.
- Flexible and able to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
- Available Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
- Available to start immediately and commit to a 1-year fixed-term contract.
