We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Optometrist to join us on a Resident basis based out of our Turnbridge Wells practice at Boots Opticians, ideally on a full-time basis; however, we would be open to part-time too.

Latest equipment in the practice includes the Optomap, Oct, TRK2P, Henson, and phoropter heads. Royal Tunbridge Wells is the only spa town in Southeast England, with a thriving collection of shops, boutiques, pubs, cafés, and restaurants.

As an Optometrist at Boots, you'll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care – using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading clinics and delivering outstanding patient care
  • Using the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice
  • Providing enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs
  • Offering clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor
  • Collaborating with external healthcare professionals
  • Keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and sharing it with others
  • Playing a key role in your store's leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift

What you'll need to have (our must-haves):

  • GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months)
  • NHS performer number (or working towards it)
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience supporting enhanced services
  • A strong understanding of local clinical networks
