PINK GIRAFEE ARE A RECRUITMENT AGENCY HIRING ON BEHALF OF THE CLIENT. THE ROLE IS FULLY REMOTE FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE TIME WITH A REQUIREMENT TO VISIT BRISTOL ONCE A MONTH FOR A TEAM MEETING (please only apply if you are able). YOU MUST HAVE FULL RIGHT TO WORK / UK CITIZENSHIP. YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF WORKING FOR MARKETING AGENCIES (either in house or as a client).

REPORTS TO: Reporting directly to the company owner.

The Client Financial Controller will oversee the finance operations for a portfolio of our clients, as well as leading and developing our internal finance team. This role involves close collaboration with clients to understand their financial needs, providing strategic financial insights and guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services. The position will also involve setting internal procedures, leading the team, and supervising the financial operations within our company.

TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client Financial Operations & Reporting: Managing day-to-day financial operations for a portfolio of clients, including invoicing, payroll, tax returns, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Leading planning, budgeting, and forecasting for clients, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Preparation and posting of accruals & prepayments and other monthly accounting adjustments (depreciation, WIP adjustments, deferred income etc). Preparation of the management accounts with a commentary. Working directly with clients' department heads to drive profitability, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. Taking a proactive approach in consulting, advising our clients, and suggesting improvements to our processes and systems. Attending boarding meetings with the clients’ leadership teams, potential investors, advisors etc. Presenting financial reports to stakeholders, providing insights into financial status and performance. Meeting all financial reporting deadlines and completing month-end processes promptly.
  • Internal Control and Processes: Establishing and maintaining financial procedures in our company to ensure the reliability of financial information presented to clients and robust internal processes. Ensuring financial systems and processes are scalable to support both current operations and future client portfolio growth. Coordinating with our outsourced partner regarding daily bookkeeping, admin and production of annual accounts and tax returns. Supervision and accuracy of VAT returns, payroll processes and month end close. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across client portfolios.
  • Other Responsibilities: Recruiting, mentoring, and developing the finance team, promoting professional growth. Collaborating with outsourced accountants and client accounting teams. Focusing on succession planning within the company. Leading and managing a dedicated financial team. Following company policies and relevant procedures as appropriate to the position; Proactively build relationships with company clients and their teams. Engage, motivate and challenge the team members.

£60,000 plus £5,000 bonus
