Now, we're scaling and looking for a commercially minded and execution-focused risk professional to join our UK team and support the growth of our enterprise B2B business.
WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE
This role will sit at the intersection of risk, compliance, business, product, and operations, with a strong focus on evaluating new business models, and POC to connect with headquarter teams for business success.
The role is designed for someone who can quickly understand how a business works, assess transaction and operational flows, identify major risks, and make sound judgments in fast-moving pace.
WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH
You’ll work closely with:
- Business Development teams to assess and onboard enterprise merchants and new verticals
- Product and Operations to design scalable risk controls and monitoring frameworks
- Compliance and HQ Risk teams to ensure alignment with regulatory, scheme, and internal policy requirements
The role partners cross-functionally and plays a key advisory role in high-impact commercial decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Assess enterprise B2B clients, partners, and new business opportunities
- Quickly understand client business models, transaction flows, operating structures, and product use cases to identify key fraud, credit, operational, compliance, and partner-related risks
- Provide clear and practical risk recommendations
- Partner with Business Development, Product, Operations, Compliance, and other internal teams to align facts, requirements, and risk considerations across stakeholders
- Act as a risk partner to the business by balancing commercial objectives with appropriate safeguards and governance
- Monitor post-launch performance and emerging issues, and recommend adjustments to controls, strategies, workflows, and escalation paths where needed, having a good balance between risk and customer experience.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of experience in risk, payments, fintech, merchant acquiring, B2B onboarding, or a related risk strategy role
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience of enterprise B2B payment risk.
- Experience in international payments, cross-border B2B payments, merchant acquiring, or embedded finance
- Quantitative skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with commercial, operations, compliance, and other stakeholders.
WHO YOU ARE
- Educated with a relevant Finance degree in business, project management or related field.
- Capable of absorbing large amounts of information and the ability to distil it down to the essentials to educate all internal stakeholders.
- Influence and advise leadership and business teams on necessary changes and execute against the objectives.
- Understand local regulatory requirements and ability to adapt to the global environment.
- Ability to juggle several projects and shift priorities as needed.
- Exhibiting a creative and innovative, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving.
- Adaptability; able to change priorities with speed and with minimal disruption.
