We are now scaling and seeking an Acquiring Product Development Director with deep experience in card acquiring to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our acquiring product line.
WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE
You’ll own the full lifecycle of card products — from feature definition and BIN sponsorship setup to go-to-market and post-launch enhancements — and play a critical role in shaping our card acquiring proposition globally.
WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH
You will report to the Chief Business Officer, based in the UK. You’ll partner closely with our Business Development, Sales, and Product Marketing local business unit teams and global product centers to build a cohesive user journey that delivers the right product to the right users at the right time.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Define and own the roadmap for PingPong’s acquiring product, including cards, APMs and omnichannels for US-EU clients.
- Drive Scheme membership / Bin Sponsorship management and scheme certification processes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
- Design and evolve key features: onboarding, authorisation, processing and routing, risk controls, tokenisation.
- Develop a vertical-specific product roadmap in line with vertical GTM strategies across Marketplace, OTA, Logistics and SaaS among others.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure alignment with regulatory and scheme requirements.
- Work with Engineering to build APIs and back-office tools to manage card lifecycle events, transaction flows, and dispute processes.
- Partner with Marketing, BD, and Sales to develop compelling use cases and go-to-market strategies for new geographies, verticals and segments.
- Track and improve key acceptance performance KPIs (acceptance rates, geographic coverage, etc.).
- Represent the acquiring product internally and externally, including with schemes, processors, and APM / Banking partners.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years in product management, including at least 3 years focused on card acquiring, within a scheme, fintech, neobank, card processor, or EMI.
- Deep understanding of card acquiring flows: KYC, authorization, clearing/settlement, fraud, and card scheme compliance.
- Experience launching and scaling acquiring products across multiple markets is highly desirable.
WHO YOU ARE
- English both in writing and speaking.
- Educated with a relevant degree in business, project management, or a related field.
- A master’s Customer-centric, analytical, detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS, 3DS2, and tokenization.
- Ability to work well with both technical and non-technical individuals up and down the organization, capable of absorbing large amounts of information and ability to distill it down to the essentials.
- Influence and advise management on necessary changes and execute against the portfolio and set plan.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to adapt to the global environment.
- Ability to juggle several projects and shift priorities as needed.
- Exhibiting a creative and innovative, forward-thinking approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to stay calm and collected and focus on solving problems.
