We are now scaling and seeking a customer-centric Marketing Lead to shape the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for our cross-border platform. This is a builder role for someone who can translate deep customer insights and payments expertise into a compelling narrative that drives enterprise growth.
WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE
As Marketing Lead, you’ll spearhead the strategic positioning, messaging and go-to-market execution for our product suite. But this isn’t a pure strategy role – you’ll also need to roll up your sleeves and be driving action, ensuring that ideas are executed end to end. This role sits at the intersection of product, customer insight and commercial execution. You’ll need to speak the language of our customers – whether that’s CFOs evaluating treasury solutions, marketplace operators assessing payment infrastructure or product teams evaluating API integrations. Your deep understanding of cross-border payments will allow you to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value. This is a high-visibility role where building trust and partnership across the global organization will be crucial.
WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH
As a critical member of the international team, this position will report directly to the Chief of Staff (International Business). You’ll partner closely with our product and local business unit teams to develop messaging frameworks that deliver the right message to the right stakeholders at the right time in the enterprise buying cycle. You’ll also work directly with business development teams to ensure they’re equipped to articulate our value proposition effectively.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Product Strategy & Positioning
- Develop a deep understanding of our platform and products, and their unique value proposition – becoming the go-to expert on how PingPong solves real customer problems.
- Identify and understand target customer segments and their specific pain points.
- Create clear and differentiated product positioning and messaging in customers’ language.
- Translate complex payment infrastructure, compliance and technical features into compelling business outcomes.
- Go-to-Market Execution
- Design and execute go-to-market plans for new feature launches, product updates and market expansion.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive pipeline generation. Lead creation of sales enablement material.
- Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints – from website and email to sales decks and thought leadership content.
- Market Insight & Competitive Intelligence
- Develop a nuanced understanding of enterprise customer needs, segment pain points and buying processes across different verticals.
- Conduct ongoing market research, competitive analysis and industry trends to identify opportunities and inform positioning.
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative customer feedback to validate hypothesis and drive decision-making.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Set clear performance metrics and KPIs for marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and analyse marketing campaign performance and make data-driven adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Regularly report on marketing activities, campaign results, and overall marketing performance to the executive team.
WHO YOU ARE
- 10+ years of relevant and progressive work experience in product marketing, go-to-market or growth marketing within the Payments or Financial Services – cross-border payments experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of driving measurable growth and results through marketing strategies, particularly in enterprise B2B environments.
- Deep payments expertise: you understand payment products, payment rails, compliance requirements and how businesses evaluate payment infrastructure.
- Strategic yet hands-on: you thrive at both at the big picture and in the details. We are looking for someone with a builder mentality.
- Customer-centric: you have genuine empathy for customers and can speak their language.
- Data-driven: you build measurement frameworks and make evidence-based decisions, balancing quantitative insights with qualitative feedback.
- Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator: You work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels. You’re able to build trust and drive alignment in a matrixed organization.
- Adaptable and agile: you are comfortable juggling multiple projects, shifting priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced international environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity.
