As we build out our international team, we are looking for an Account Executive to optimize sales efforts of our new Mid-Market Commercial team.
WHAT’S THE CHALLENGE
This role plays an integral role in driving the growth of our customer base and revenue through generating and closing qualified leads. The role shall work closely with PingPong’s global Business Development team and PingPong’s Marketing team on targeting key verticals (travel, ecommerce, import/export etc), and new business across the UK. This position is ideal for a driven, disciplined and high-performing individual with business/sales acumen that has experience in online B2B sales prospecting, market research, and sales lead generation and the desire to help shape processes and own results.
WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH
This position will report directly to the US Sales Director.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Participate in market segmentation and go-to-market strategy discussions to help identify target B2B customer segments and potential prospects in each segment.
- Grow sales through full cycle ownership, while developing and maintaining positive relationships with merchants to drive modernization of their tech stack.
- Provide valuable feedback to internal product teams as well as identify and implement internal process improvement that will help scale our business.
- Develop new business via cold prospecting and partnership introductions.
- Represent PingPong at industry events and tradeshows.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and finance teams to execute commercial contracts.
- Drive the onboarding of new merchants, with support from solution engineers where needed.
- Achieve or exceed quarterly quota of qualified opportunities, resulting in closed business.
- Contribute to sales process improvement through efficiency and scalability.
- Manage successful follow-through of sales cycle by maintaining pipeline, sales activity and accurately forecast quarter closes in CRM application (Hubspot).
- Monitor competitors’ products or services and create selling strategies.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years of successful outbound selling experience in a B2B, fintech, or financial services organization.
- Experience translating technical products to a non-technical audience.
WHO YOU ARE
- Ability to work independently and within an international team, in a fast-paced and high-volume environment in the fintech industry.
- Consultative selling approach to understand a prospect's pain and offer the proper solution.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership of results.
- Experience utilizing AI tools to increase productivity and output.
- Ability to manage multiple client prospects while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Strongly desire previous experience working in payments ecosystem, ideally with a focus on travel, ecommerce, or manufacturing.
- Foreign language a plus.
- Experience selling acquiring products.
