We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer to own day-to-day documentation for:
- Identity for AI use cases (agentic AI, token exchange, safe orchestration, and real‑world implementation patterns)
- PingAM and Advanced Identity Cloud (AIC) journey/nodes documentation, including admin and developer-focused guidance
You’ll be deeply hands‑on with the products, writing clear, implementation-focused docs that help architects, developers, and admins design secure, AI-aware identity journeys. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Developer Experience, and you’ll help shape patterns and standards other writers can reuse in this space.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and deliver high-quality docs
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for Identity for AI scenarios and PingAM/AIC journeys and nodes
- Write a mix of content types: concepts, configuration guides, end-to-end tutorials, troubleshooting topics, and reference content
- Develop and test practical examples—sample flows, configuration snippets, diagrams
- Turn complex topics into usable guidance
- Translate advanced identity topics into approachable content for architects and experienced developers
- Work directly in the products and flows to validate behaviour and ensure docs reflect reality
- Proactively identify confusing areas in the UX and document recommended patterns
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Architecture to understand roadmaps
- Participate in planning, backlog triage, and sprint activities
- Work with other writers and editors to align on style, terminology, and reusable patterns
- Author content in our AsciiDoc/Antora, Git/GitHub-based toolchain
- Help keep builds clean by catching broken links, structural issues, and formatting problems
- Share tips, scripts, or small automation ideas that improve the consistency and efficiency of our documentation pipeline
What we’re looking for:
- 5–8+ years of technical writing experience
- Experience documenting identity and access management, security, or closely related infrastructure
- Working knowledge of modern identity standards and patterns
- Experience developing comprehensive, implementation-focused content for advanced technical users
- Comfort working in Docs-as-Code environments
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Engineers and Product Managers
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience using AI tools to review, critique, and refine documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have:
- Hands-on familiarity with Ping products or comparable identity platforms
- Experience documenting journey-orchestration or policy-based systems
- Exposure to agentic AI or LLM-based systems
- Experience mentoring other writers on specific domains or patterns
- Experience writing API documentation
Pay Range: 40,000 - 70,000 GBP
