The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing industrial recruitment consultancy based in central Birmingham, is looking to appoint a driven, sales-focused Recruitment Consultant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated salesperson who is eager to step into recruitment. You don’t need prior recruitment experience – what matters is your ability to win new business, build strong relationships, and deliver results. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Working within the industrial division, you’ll focus on developing new client accounts and managing existing relationships across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and related sectors. This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same – you’ll be speaking to decision-makers, pitching solutions, and matching candidates to roles that make a real difference to businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through proactive outbound sales, cold calling, and networking
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, ensuring excellent service levels
- Source, screen, and place candidates into temporary and permanent industrial roles
- Negotiate commercial terms and close deals with clients
- Work towards clear sales and activity targets with the support of a structured training plan
The Person
- Proven direct sales background (B2B or B2C), with evidence of consistently achieving targets
- A confident communicator, persuasive and commercially aware
- Ambitious, resilient, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Excellent organisational and relationship-building skills
- Ready to learn recruitment and carve out a successful career in the industry
The Package
- £30,000 basic salary + uncapped commission (OTE £40k–£50k in year one, with growth potential beyond)
- Every other Friday off – giving you two long weekends per month
