Job Description:
The Cargo/Office agent is responsible for handling, storing, and preparing cargo shipments in accordance with company policies and safety regulations. This role ensures efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing freight while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure all company procedures such as health and safety, security regulations and all other compliance are adhered to.
- To efficiently and professionally liaise with all customers and supplier requests whilst maintaining the company’s standard and reputation.
- To understand, execute and support implementation of new working procedures deemed necessary by the company.
- To achieve the targets, quality and job standard set out by your managers.
- To be responsible for the warehouse and transport operation and provide clear instructions and guidance to all warehouse operatives in order to maintain a high level of service and detail.
- To be responsible for the cover of all operations to ensure adequate cover due to sickness, absenteeism and holidays.
- To manage resources in an effective and efficient manner by providing clear instructions and guidance and supporting your team by leading by example.
- To complete all necessary documentation and system functions in line with company, customer and government agencies requirements to maintain compliance and high service.
- To be always punctual and flexible and give yourself sufficient time to obtain necessary handover.
- To perform reasonable requests from management as the business needs change and develop.
- To be adaptable to satisfy the needs of customer and business requirements whilst managing all company resources in a cost-effective manner.
- Working to a high standard at all times and lead by example.
- Able to support management to implement new procedures and processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Checkable background and criminal record history.
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment whilst maintaining complete accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to work in a team environment and use own initiative.
- X-ray training or capability of undergoing training.
- ABS5 training or capability of undergoing training.
