This is a hands-on product role within a high-performing SaaS environment, working on software that sits at the heart of automotive retail operations. You’ll work across interconnected platform areas such as vehicle sales, aftersales, parts, CRM, finance and insurance, reporting, and wider platform services.
You’ll define, shape and deliver product improvements that solve real customer problems across end-to-end dealership workflows. Working closely with customers, engineering teams and internal stakeholders, you’ll translate insight and business needs into clear product outcomes, while leading Associate Product Managers and Project Delivery Managers to support successful delivery. This role suits someone who is curious, commercially aware, organised, and motivated by turning complex user needs into valuable, measurable product improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and develop product areas within the Pinewood.AI platform, ensuring they align with business goals, customer needs and product strategy.
- Translate customer feedback, business requirements and market insight into clear product opportunities and requirements.
- Lead discovery activity across assigned product areas, including user interviews, research, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Carry out horizon scanning across market trends, competitor activity, emerging technology and customer needs, using this insight to help shape product direction and strategy.
- Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing customer value, commercial impact, technical considerations and delivery capacity.
- Define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, feature requirements and success measures.
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, QA, UX and delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
- Lead, guide and support Associate Product Managers and Project Delivery Managers, ensuring their work is aligned to product priorities and delivery plans.
- Contribute to roadmap development, helping to shape priorities and communicate product direction across the business.
- Use data, customer insight and feedback to support decision-making and measure product impact.
- Act as a key product contact for internal teams, including Account Management, Implementation, Partner Support, Engineering and wider business stakeholders.
- Support product communication, including progress updates, release plans, feature benefits and delivery timelines.
- Review and support feature sign-off, ensuring product changes meet customer needs, quality expectations and business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with customers, dealers, partners and manufacturers to understand real-world use cases and validate product direction.
- Previous experience as a Product Manager within a software, SaaS or technology environment.
- Knowledge of automotive retail, dealership operations, Dealer Management Systems or enterprise software platforms.
- Experience across relevant product areas such as vehicle sales, CRM, vehicle inventory, accounting, aftersales, F&I, reporting or operational systems would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, from discovery and research through to delivery, release and value measurement.
- Experience gathering, interpreting and prioritising customer, user and business requirements.
- Confident writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria and translating complex needs into clear product requirements.
- Able to think strategically about product direction, market trends and competitor activity, while still being comfortable working hands-on with delivery teams.
- Experience leading, guiding or mentoring product, delivery or project-focused colleagues.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and insight to support decisions.
- Commercially aware, with a focus on delivering customer value and measurable business outcomes.
- Organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with the confidence to make decisions and explain prioritisation clearly.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Figma or similar.
- Experience working in Agile environments, with familiarity in Scrum, Kanban, Lean or similar frameworks.
This is a chance to join a growing SaaS product team working on a complex enterprise platform used across the automotive retail industry.
