The role will be based in London with the expectation of a hybrid work model. PineBridge Investments is seeking a Trader.
Responsible for:
- Executing trades done on the desk, including EM Corps, European Credit, EM Sovereigns, G10 Rates, and EM Rates and FX.
- Ensuring the desk is error free, but working with MO on any failed trades or other issues.
- EUR hedging of EM accounts [via forwards and cross currency swaps], ensuring all guideline limits are met.
- Providing trading insights and market commentary in weekly and monthly meetings; creating and presenting weekly packs with UST views.
- Managing the MIFID II research process, including research contract negotiations and Broker Data meeting.
- Looking for areas for development for the desk, including new systems and counterparties.
- Staying updated on regulatory and compliance changes.
In addition, the trader should:
- Collaborate with analysts to generate new investment ideas.
- Work closely with PMs on idea generation, new issues pricing, cash management.
- Present in weekly meetings providing trading colour.
- Present in client meetings.
- Assist the Portfolio Risk Strategist.
Person Specification:
- Experience of trading FI products, ideally with a strong understanding of EM Corps, European Credit, EM Sovereigns, G10 Rates, and EM Rates and FX.
- Strong programming knowledge with R/SQL/Python Panda.
- Knowledge of portfolio construction and client interaction.
- A good communicator with proven presentation skills.
- Strong written and inter-personal communication skills.
- Team player with flexibility to adapt and grow as responsibilities increase.
- Independent, self-motivated individual who can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Demonstrable experience is ideal, including back office/middle office experience.
