About the Company
We are a well-established and growing construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality healthcare and residential schemes across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new-build care home project.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a new-build care home project, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site activities from groundworks through to completion
- Manage subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers
- Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor project progress against programme and report to senior management
- Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and local authorities
- Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits, and progress reports
- Lead site meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on new-build projects (care home or healthcare experience desirable)
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and construction processes
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS (Black or Gold Card)
- First Aid at Work certification
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage programmes and drive projects to completion
Desirable
- Experience delivering care homes, assisted living, or healthcare facilities
- Knowledge of CQC standards and requirements
- Degree/HNC/HND in Construction Management or related field
