About the Company

We are a well-established and growing construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality healthcare and residential schemes across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new-build care home project.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a new-build care home project, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site activities from groundworks through to completion
  • Manage subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
  • Monitor project progress against programme and report to senior management
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and local authorities
  • Manage site documentation, including RAMS, permits, and progress reports
  • Lead site meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on new-build projects (care home or healthcare experience desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and construction processes
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • CSCS (Black or Gold Card)
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage programmes and drive projects to completion

Desirable

  • Experience delivering care homes, assisted living, or healthcare facilities
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and requirements
  • Degree/HNC/HND in Construction Management or related field
