Pineapple Recruitment has partnered with a highly successful, established business launching a brand-new start-up venture in Redditch within the Food Services / Food Distribution Sector. We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial Warehouse Manager to build, lead, and shape day-to-day warehouse activities from scratch. Backed by the financial security of an industry leader, this role offers total autonomy to create structure on a blank canvas. Best of all, it features a rare Warehouse schedule of Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm along with enhanced benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Greenfield Operations: Establish and oversee all initial warehouse workflows (goods-in, strategic storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control) for ambient food operations.
- Team Building: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of a brand-new warehouse team.
- Compliance & Food Safety: Implement and maintain full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, health & safety, and UK food industry regulations.
- Systems & Data: Support the rollout and optimisation of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS), manage operational budgets, and track start-up KPIs.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven warehouse or operations management experience within food services, FMCG, or food distribution.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and UK health & safety regulations.
- Experience implementing or optimising Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- A proactive, solution-focused leadership style comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Desirable: IOSH/NEBOSH or Food Hygiene certifications.
