The Role
Reporting directly to a Senior HR Leader, you will act as the go‑to expert for HR guidance, coaching managers across the Midlands on all HR matters throughout the entire employee lifecycle. This is a pivotal role that requires ensuring legal compliance, providing swift and high‑quality HR solutions, and contributing to key strategic HR projects alongside the wider HR and Project Teams.
Key Focus Areas
- ER Specialist: Act as the regional expert for complex Employee Relations issues, policy interpretation, and procedure queries.
- Industrial Relations: Provide crucial support and guidance on Trade Union involvement, redundancy processes, and navigating complex TUPE transfers.
- Stakeholder Management: Build genuine, influential relationships with key stakeholders and managers, proactively shaping the employee experience.
- Project Contribution: Utilise your HR expertise to support exciting regional and firm‑wide HR projects (e.g., HR transformation, policy design).
- Compliance: Ensure all HR advice and processes remain legally compliant and aligned with best practice.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively stay up‑to‑date with the latest HR trends and contribute to team knowledge and innovation.
Candidate Profile: What You’ll Bring
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 3 minimum (and ideally working towards or holding Level 5), or equivalent extensive HR Advisor experience.
- Expertise: A true HR Generalist with a deep understanding of HR policies, processes, and the ability to quickly identify and manage complex ER issues.
- Skills: Brilliant coaching, counselling, and performance management skills.
- Personal Attributes: A natural people‑person, clear communicator, highly organised, and adept at juggling priorities.
- Technical Acumen: Experience in reporting and analysing HR data, proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
