A bit about the role.. You are a dynamic and driven individual, responsible for establishing, developing and growing our presence in the Spanish market. You will take full ownership of the region, carrying out market research, identifying and developing new business opportunities, building a database of potential new clients and driving sustainable revenue growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help launch and expand our business in Spain, working closely with the CRO to build a strong pipeline and long-term regional strategy.
Some of your responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to develop and deliver the commercial strategy for the Spanish market.
- Identify, qualify and develop new customers within the Spanish region.
- Visit clients as required on a regular basis.
- Attend conference/trade shows to promote our brand.
- Build and grow a sustainable sales pipeline for the Spanish market from initial entry through to long-term growth.
- Develop and implement go-to-market and regional growth plans for Spain.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs for the Spanish region.
- Prepare and send customised quotations for prospective and existing customers.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements within Spain to continuously refine sales strategies.
- Qualify inbound and outbound opportunities, gathering detailed information on customer needs and project requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of customer requirements for the region.
- Arrange and manage product sample requests for customers in Spain.
- Maintain consistent and accurate use of the CRM system to track all sales activities, opportunities and regional pipeline.
- Capture and update customer and prospect data from campaigns and mail merges into the CRM.
- Work closely with the marketing team to support market entry and regional campaigns, including the creation and maintenance of Spanish-specific price lists and sales materials and product launches.
- Take responsibility for all post-order administration for the Spanish region, including checking specifications, colours, product queries and follow-ups.
- Escalate and support the resolution of any after-sales issues within the region.
- Support ad-hoc projects related to market entry, expansion and regional development as required by the business.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, business development or account management, ideally within new markets or territories.
- Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken). Ideally a native who understands the culture and geography of the region.
- Experience researching and developing new market opportunities and building a regional pipeline.
- Experience building and managing key customer relationships.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) and CRM systems.
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to take ownership of a region and work independently.
- Results-driven, well organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, with good planning, prioritisation and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel within Spain as much as is required.
