Your opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated staff team. This role is central to supporting a child on an individual basis, including those with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher to provide tailored support that promotes the child’s learning, wellbeing, and independence.
Responsibilities
- Providing individualized support to children with special educational needs.
- Working closely with the Class Teacher and other staff to deliver tailored educational plans.
- Supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and independence in the classroom and throughout the school day.
- Communicating with parents and outside agencies as required.
Qualifications
- Dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with young children.
- Calm and objective when presenting with unusual or challenging behaviour.
- Committed to working as part of a team, including working closely with outside agencies.
- Relates exceptionally well with children and goes that extra mile to help them achieve.
- Confident and clear communicator with parents.
- HLTA qualification desirable but not essential.

- Start Date: ASAP
- Salary: Associate 2.2 - £23,970 FTE Pro Rata Salary: £8,592.19
- Hours of Work: 32.5hrs - 8.30am - 3.30pm (Term‑time - 39 weeks inc. INSET)
- Contract: Permanent
