We are looking for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our team.

Since 2004 we have been designing and distributing award winning, contemporary furniture and lighting to a global audience. We are looking for a systems-literate, detail-oriented, and energetic individual to support the Merchandising team. In this role, the Assistant Merchandiser will ensure accurate, real-time inventory tracking and align stock levels with demand. The role is crucial in providing accurate sales and inventory data to the wider team, driving operational efficiency and ensuring we are making informed commercial decisions.
The role will appeal to someone who loves to cross off their task list, collaborating and communicating well with other colleagues and external 3rd parties, can think and work efficiently, whilst respecting the need for rigour and accuracy in their output.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting and analysis – Provide insights into performance and key drivers on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis. Update the Monday Trade reports and support the Head of Merchandising with key performance insights.
- Stock performance reporting – Identify slow-moving products and work with marketing to increase performance. Understand and report stock level issues in good time.
- Demand planning and forecasting – Update the line flows weekly and work with the Head of Merchandising the maximise on sales potential whilst balancing a lean stock position.Ensure stock aligns with demand and sales forecasts, assisting with efficient stock allocation across channels (online, retail, wholesale, etc.). Support in ensuring both UK and US entities of the business have sufficient stock levels in key continuity lines.
- Forecasting – Update data weekly and check information is pulling through accurately to support forecasting sales, stock and intake which will identify risks and opportunities for the business.
- Goods In – Ensure all goods and components are stocked into the business in real time. Ensure daily updates of stock levels, and close deliveries promptly.
- Stock distribution – Monitor and optimise stock movement across all sales channels to maximise opportunities and ensure efficient replenishment. Help manage the flow of stock to ensure efficient replenishment and availability.
- Inventory management and reconciliation – Track inventory, conduct stock reconciliations weekly on the system using a stock, sales and intake calculation to ensure there is never any missing stock. Manage the clean-up of open purchase and sales orders to ensure inventory is always accurate.
- Stock Check and stock counts – Ensure stock units and value is managed reconciled on a weekly basis, report back end of month stock holding to Finance. Manage and participate in the quarterly physical stock count at our main warehouse. Arrange and participate in the annual global stock count and analyse the results from each count vs the system. Report discrepancies to the Head of Merchandising and MD if they arise between physical stock and system records.
- Product Intake & Delivery – Manage the timely intake of seasonal buys, liaising with the team to ensure products arrive on schedule. Support bi-weekly stock reorders to maintain inventory levels.
- Intake management – Closely monitor intake flow into the business weekly, ensure the system is always accurate and up to date. Work with the suppliers to ensure intake is on time and in full vs their PO. Communicate a forecasted view of intake by week for the next month to our warehouse. Report on Intake values weekly to be inputted into the WSSI by the Head of Merchandising.
- Critical path and schedule management – Attend the weekly Schedules meeting with the Buying and Production teams, support with resolving issues and ensure systems are up to date with agreed amends.
