We're hiring Tug Drivers for a leading automotive manufacturer in Sunderland area. As part of the hiring process you'll be required to attend a 30min interview & Onsite Tour. If selected you'll have the opportunity to attend a 2 Day “LGV Articulated Yard Shunter Training Course” then 5 days Shadow Training with an experienced driver.
Course Details: This course is designed to train delegates to move LGV articulated vehicles around the premises, including reversing into a specified location. It makes delegates aware of their legal responsibilities and takes them through a safe system of work from carrying out pre-use checks of the vehicle to understanding the vehicle's controls and braking systems and precautions to take when coupling/uncoupling. NOTE: Delegates undertaking this course must first hold a minimum full manual (not automatic) UK car driving licence. This course will not licence the operator to operate on the public highway.

- First Week: Week of Shadow Training with an experienced driver. Moving LGV Articulated vehicles on and off loading docks.
- Working a 2-shift pattern: Days = 6.45am – 15.03pm. Backs = 16.20pm – 00.38am. Overtime will be available.
- 7.8hrs Per Day / 39hrs per week (Overtime paid after 39hrs)
- Dress Code: Safety Boots / Hi Vis / Work Trousers / Work Tops.
- Paid Weekly.
Pay Per Hour:
- Days: Basic = £13.11ph, OT1 = £19.67ph, OT2 = £26.22ph
- Backs: Basic = £13.86ph, OT1 = £20.42ph, OT2 = £26.97ph
