About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Removals Team Leader to oversee and participate in domestic and commercial removals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a valid UK driving licence to drive company vehicles as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of removal operatives on residential and commercial moves
  • Plan and coordinate daily jobs, ensuring efficient use of time and resources
  • Safely load, transport, and unload goods with care and accuracy
  • Conduct pre-move assessments and vehicle checks
  • Provide high levels of customer service throughout the move process
  • Ensure team members follow health and safety procedures
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers on-site
  • Report any incidents, delays, or damages promptly to management
  • Maintain cleanliness and good order of vehicles and equipment

Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence (Category B minimum)
  • Proven experience in removals or logistics, ideally in a leadership role
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and professional attitude
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Category C1 or higher licence (7.5T or HGV)
  • Knowledge of packing techniques or export removals
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle checks/repairs
