About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Removals Team Leader to oversee and participate in domestic and commercial removals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a valid UK driving licence to drive company vehicles as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of removal operatives on residential and commercial moves
- Plan and coordinate daily jobs, ensuring efficient use of time and resources
- Safely load, transport, and unload goods with care and accuracy
- Conduct pre-move assessments and vehicle checks
- Provide high levels of customer service throughout the move process
- Ensure team members follow health and safety procedures
- Act as the main point of contact for customers on-site
- Report any incidents, delays, or damages promptly to management
- Maintain cleanliness and good order of vehicles and equipment
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence (Category B minimum)
- Proven experience in removals or logistics, ideally in a leadership role
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Punctual, reliable, and professional attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Category C1 or higher licence (7.5T or HGV)
- Knowledge of packing techniques or export removals
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle checks/repairs
