Pre-Press Manager\\n\\nPortsmouth\\n\\nNegotiable\\n\\nPin Point Recruitment are looking for a Pre-Press Manager to join a manufacturing company based in Portsmouth.\\n\\nThe company have been a winner of the Independent Print Industry Association’s Manufacturer of the Year. They run a investment programme that enables them to introduce technology that is more energy efficient and less wasteful for a more sustainable future.\\n\\nAs the Pre-Press Manager you will play a pivotal role play in the production process, requiring a strong understanding of pre-press, finishing, and printing operations.\\n\\nPre-Press Manager Job Role:\\n\\n * Help in the day to day running of a busy Pre-press department.\\n\\n * Set and monitor targets.\\n\\n * Train and motivate prepress staff to meet targets and requirements of the business.\\n\\n * liaising with clients and account managers.\\n\\n * Action pre-flighted of customer-submitted files as part of the automation\\n\\n * Troubleshoot any issues and, where necessary, correct files using Adobe Creative Cloud software products and Enfocus/Heidelberg plug-ins.\\n\\n * Communicate any queries or problems with production team members and account managers and ensure all client requirements are documented on Print IQ(MIS system)\\n\\n * Prioritise and manage workflow, ensuring all jobs are completed on time and within schedule.\\n\\n * Following all relevant health & safety, environmental and quality requirements when completing work.\\n\\nPre-Press Manager Skills Required:\\n\\n * A good knowledge of MacOS and Windows systems\\n\\n * Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products, namely Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro and Photoshop plus Heidelberg and Enfocus Pitstop plug-ins.\\n\\n * Previous experience with Heidelberg and Print IQ MIS (or similar software).\\n\\n * A high level of attention to detail and understanding of colour.\\n\\n * An excellent understanding of impositions and print production processes and practices.\\n\\n * Minimum of 3 years pre-press experience carrying out similar functions.\\n\\n * Ability to adapt and function as part of a larger team.\\n\\n * Willingness to train and learn new skills as needed.\\n\\nFor more information apply now
