We are recruiting a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician (approx.?70% mechanical, 30% electrical) to join our onsite maintenance engineering team. This full-time, permanent role operates on rotating 3-shift pattern, maintaining continuous operations in a busy, process-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across moulding, cutting and finishing machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faultsbearings, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics.
- Carry out basic to intermediate electrical fault finding when needed.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and optimise equipment reliability.
- Follow strict health & safety, quality and process documentation standards (ISO 9001/14001 compliant).
- Accurately log maintenance records and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Strong mechanical engineering background (apprenticeship or equivalent) with practical hands-on experience.
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostics beneficial given 30% electrical expectation.
- Proven experience in a heavy-duty manufacturingmaterials plant advantageous.
- Capable, diligent, and hard-working
- Must have own transport to access the site reliably.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
