A skilled Production Demand Scheduler is required to lead the planning function within a project-driven engineering environment. The role focuses on effective scheduling, material coordination, capacity planning, and ensuring timely delivery across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the planning team, ensuring effective communication with Operations, Projects, Engineering, Sales, and Procurement.
- Manage all Master Scheduling and integrate forecasts into the Master Production Schedule.
- Maintain and optimise MRP data, resolve engineering/receiving issues, and manage change orders.
- Monitor capacity and resource availability; update schedules to meet project demands.
- Oversee inventory levels, material kitting, and stock parameters.
- Provide regular schedule status updates and maintain planning dashboards/KPIs.
- Ensure accurate creation, maintenance, and closure of work orders.
- Support continuous improvement activities and ensure production orders meet time and cost targets.
Accountabilities
- Ownership of production schedules and workflow priorities.
- MRP/ERP system development and user support.
- Inventory control and reduction of excess stock.
- Delivery of accurate reporting, KPIs, and schedule adherence metrics.
