Location: Kingston, Surrey Hourly rate: £16.82-17.70 Working hours: Mon-Fri 7.30am-4.00pm (40 hours) Our client is Europe's largest provider of grounds maintenance services.

We seek an experienced Supervisor to join their team at Bushy Park near Kingston.

The successful candidate will assist with the day to day running of this Royal Park contract.

We are looking for an individual with strong, all-round knowledge of grounds maintenance, landscaping and horticulture, together with leadership qualities who can assist management in implementing policies and practices, ensuring H&S regulations are followed.

Applicants require strong communication skills and must be able to liaise with management to build and maintain excellent client relationships.

Your responsibilities will fall across several areas, including relationship building; client/customer care; people management and contract delivery.

Responsibilities

  • To assist in scheduling works and coordinate resources according to contract specifications and workload.
  • To ensure teams are prepared in terms of tool and machinery requirements for all tasks (conducting safety checks, end of day equipment checks, and ordering of parts, materials, uniform and PPE when required).
  • Build and maintain client relationships, creating a positive impression and demonstrating a proactive attitude, with attendance of weekly contract meetings with clients as needed.
  • Strong people management skills, mentoring staff, monitoring work progress and performance all whilst leading by example.
  • Monitor time and attendance, collating timesheets for payroll.
  • Adhere to HR processes and procedures, managing and supporting employee issues, escalating to management if necessary. Requirements:
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Full, manual UK driving licence is essential.
  • Strong communication, client management and IT literacy skills.
