Buyer Salary up to £45,000 Location: Newcastle We’re looking for an experienced Buyer to join a growing packaging and fulfilment business going through an exciting period of transformation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making things happen — combining strategic procurement with the day-to-day management of suppliers and purchasing. What you’ll be doing: Develop and deliver procurement strategies Negotiate with UK and international suppliers Identify cost-saving opportunities Manage supplier contracts, performance and risk Improve stock levels and supply chain efficiency Support BRCGS, FSC and sustainability requirements Drive procurement process improvements Work closely with operations, sales, finance and production What we’re looking for: 3+ years’ procurement or supply chain experience Strong negotiation and analytical skills Experience with ERP/MRP systems Supplier and contract management experience A practical, problem-solving approach Knowledge of sustainable sourcing CIPS (or equivalent) desirable To be considered for this role click “apply” and submit a copy of your up-to-date CV.
