Gardener – Lakeside Shopping Centre Working Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Location: Lakeside Shopping Centre, West Thurrock, Grays RM20 2ZP Salary: £15.50 – £17.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Overview We are seeking two skilled and motivated Gardeners to join our team at Lakeside Shopping Centre. Working under the direction of the Site Supervisor, you will assist with the maintenance and development of the extensive landscaped areas across the site. These positions are ideal for individuals with a passion for horticulture who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a professional, high-performing team. Key Responsibilities * Carry out general grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, and litter collection. * Assist with planting, mulching, and maintaining seasonal displays to ensure the site is presented to a high standard year-round. * Safely operate and maintain a range of horticultural machinery and hand tools. * Follow daily work schedules and instructions from the Supervisor and senior team members. * Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. * Maintain a clean and organised working environment, including storage areas and vehicles. Requirements * Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture preferred (training provided for the right candidates). * Full UK driving licence – essential. * Good understanding of horticultural tasks and safe working practices. * Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality work. * Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
