Manual Machinist Location: Cramlington £33,600 annual salary (£17.00 per hour) Permanent, day shift Monday–Thursday: 7am–3:30pm and Friday: 7am–1pm 23 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 25 days after 2 years) Private healthcare Company pension Death in service benefit Monthly employee incentives Long service awards Team-building events We are looking to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist / Turner to join a well-established global engineering business with a strong reputation in its industry. You will operate manual lathes and borers to manufacture high-precision components to customer specifications. Duties will include: Machining components to tight tolerances using engineering drawings. Carrying out first-off and in-process quality checks using micrometers and verniers. Assisting with component fitting and handling. What we're looking for Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification. Ideally 3+ years' experience in manual turning Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Overhead crane and manual handling experience would be beneficial.
