* Salary up to £40,000 per annum

An experienced Buyer is wanted to join a growing company in North Tyneside.

Working in a ’hands-on’ role as part of a small team, you’ll be taking a key role in developing and implementing purchasing strategy for the business.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

* Proven experience in a similar role – preferably within manufacturing/distribution

* Strong negotiation skills

* An analytical mindset

* A good knowledge of sustainable sourcing policies

* A hands-on, problem-solving approach

* CIPS qualification is preferred

* The job will include management of international suppliers, so some travel may be involved occasionally

What You’ll Be Doing

* Developing procurement strategies that follow the business’

* Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing & service levels

* Negotiating supplier contracts

* Implementing cost-saving opportunities

* Collaborating with Operations and Planning to ensure optimal levels of material and stock

* Adhering to the company’s ethical sourcing & environmental policies
